Grace is an intuitive and compassionate teacher with 17 years of experience growing musical journeys. She deeply connects with students, especially those with unique ways of seeing the world or styles of learning, and holds a clear and strategic vision for their musical path. She has found her way into the hearts of many families and is very grateful for the long-lasting relationships she’s cultivated. Grace has a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of North Texas. She studied with world reknowned teachers Rosana Eckert, Paris Rutherford and Kim Chandler. She taught for over half a decade in NYC, songwriting with the Gen Z and Gen Alpha students of Brooklyn and Manhattan, coaching teen bands through songwriting their first album, creating songwriting summer camps and growing private lesson students songwriting skills over four, five and seven-plus year long learning trajectories.
Grace is a talented, passionate and inspiring teacher. She has changed our daughter’s life in so many ways. She has helped foster confidence and creativity and an incredible amount of fun as our daughter learns to sing and play the ukulele. Grace has deep respect for students and their process in learning and this shines through in every lesson. We absolutely adore Grace.

For 4 years, Grace taught our daughter guitar and voice. Our daughter’s strumming skills and singing are getting quite good but the real genius of Grace is the confidence, creativity and joy that she inspires. Our daughter is proud of her talent and eager to work hard. That motivation is sustained by a teacher as skilled, patient and kind a teacher as Grace. Our daughter will forever be shaped by Grace’s tutelage and friendship.

I had a wonderful experience working with Grace. I am an adult learner with rudimentary guitar skills and singing-in-the-shower level voice skills. From our first lesson, Grace dove into helping me write songs. Since I was learning the technical concepts through making music, I felt much more inspired to practice. As a Montessori teacher myself, I found her method of teaching so inspiring and I think about it routinely in my work with children. Any learner, from a child to an adult, could gain a lot from working with Grace. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Beyond being just a lovely human, Grace is an unusually gifted music teacher. For more than four years, she has taught my daughter songwriting, ukulele, guitar, and voice. Grace’s deep experience in music and music education is apparent, but what makes her one of a kind is her radiant enthusiasm for what makes each of her students special. For her teaching is a very collaborative experience: she always finds a balance between building on my daughter’s own musical voice and interests while also setting clear, supportive expectations that she progress her instrument playing and songwriting in ways that will help her grow as a musician.
